Safety & Compliance

Safety, Quality & Engineering Compliance

At AI Hydrogen Ltd (AiH₂ Ltd), safety, technical competence and responsible engineering are fundamental to the way we approach our work.

From gas and heating systems to construction, civil engineering, renewable energy and emerging technologies, AiH₂ seeks to deliver work through appropriate engineering practice, risk management, quality control and compliance with applicable requirements.

Gas Safe Registered

AI Hydrogen Ltd is a Gas Safe registered business.

Gas Safe Registration No. 980470

Gas work undertaken by AiH₂ is carried out only within the scope of the company's current Gas Safe registration and the applicable competencies held by the engineer undertaking the work.

Customers can verify a registered business and engineer through the official Gas Safe Register.

Gas Safety

Gas systems require competent installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance.

Our approach places emphasis on safe working practices, appropriate testing and commissioning, manufacturer requirements, applicable Building Regulations and the requirements relevant to the particular appliance and installation.

Where work falls outside AiH₂'s applicable registered competencies, the company will not represent itself as authorised to undertake that work.

Construction & Site Safety

Safety is integrated into the planning and delivery of construction and engineering activities.

Depending on the nature and scope of the project, this may include:

• Site assessment
• Risk assessment
• Method statements
• Safe systems of work
• Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Equipment and work-area controls
• Hazard identification and reporting
• Site coordination
• Environmental considerations
• Inspection and documentation

Project-specific requirements are established according to the work being undertaken and the applicable contractual, regulatory and site conditions.

Engineering Quality

AiH₂ aims to maintain an engineering-led approach to quality across its activities.

Our quality principles include:

• Appropriate technical assessment before work begins
• Correct specification and selection of equipment
• Installation in accordance with applicable requirements
• Manufacturer instructions and technical documentation
• Inspection and testing where required
• Commissioning where applicable
• Accurate project and service documentation
• Identification and correction of defects
• Continuous improvement

Building Regulations & Technical Standards

Where applicable, work is undertaken with consideration for relevant legislation, Building Regulations, recognised technical standards, manufacturer instructions and competent-person requirements.

The exact requirements vary according to the technology, property, project and scope of work.

Renewable & Low-Carbon Technologies

Renewable-energy systems must be designed and installed with the same engineering discipline applied to conventional energy infrastructure.

AiH₂ considers system suitability, energy demand, equipment compatibility, controls, integration, operating conditions, maintainability and long-term performance when evaluating renewable and low-carbon solutions.

Specialist activities are undertaken only where the appropriate competence and authorisation requirements are satisfied.

Hydrogen & Emerging Technologies

AiH₂ is involved in the engineering assessment, modelling and development of hydrogen-enabled and future-energy concepts.

Research, development and demonstrator technologies are clearly distinguished from commercially approved products and installations.

AiH₂ does not represent experimental hydrogen technology as approved for general commercial or domestic deployment unless the relevant technical, regulatory, certification and safety requirements have been satisfied.

Product Safety

Products offered through the AiH₂ merchant store should be installed and used in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable regulatory requirements.

Product specifications, compatibility, operating conditions and installation requirements should be confirmed before purchase and installation.

Gas appliances must be installed, commissioned and serviced by appropriately qualified Gas Safe registered engineers with the relevant competencies.

Certain electrical, renewable-energy, commercial catering and specialist products may also require installation by appropriately competent or registered professionals.

Environmental Responsibility

AiH₂ seeks to incorporate environmental considerations into engineering decisions, including:

• Energy efficiency
• Reduction of unnecessary energy consumption
• Responsible technology selection
• Lifecycle considerations
• Reduction of avoidable emissions
• Waste minimisation where practicable
• Resilient and adaptable engineering solutions

Safety Through Engineering Intelligence

AiH₂'s long-term approach combines physical engineering with modelling, monitoring and intelligent analysis.

Digital tools, performance data and AI-assisted engineering can support better understanding of system behaviour, identify inefficiencies and contribute to more informed maintenance and operational decisions.

Technology supports engineering judgement—it does not replace appropriate professional competence, inspection or safety procedures.

Verify Our Gas Safe Registration
